Sunda Tiger

The Sunda tiger is a subspecies of tiger which was historically native to the Sunda Islands in Indonesia, including Sumatra, Java and Bali. Today, this tiger can only be found on the island of Sumatra, with the Javan and Bali populations having already been driven to extinction. The main threats to this beautiful big cat are deforestation for palm oil plantations and rampant poaching.
