Red Panda

Native to the eastern Himalayas, the red panda is actually more closely related to raccoons than to giant pandas The red panda is a solitary animal which feeds mostly on bamboo shoots and leaves. This beautiful mammal is threatened mainly by poaching and habitat destruction.
